双波段四通道光子晶体分束器设计

    摘要:

    随着集成光路器件研究的发展,多功能光子晶体器件的需求越来越多,目前报道的光子晶体器件大多为单一波段单一功能,为解决光分束器多波段多功能集成化的问题,本文提出了一种基于多波段多功能一体化融合设计方法的二维三角晶格光子晶体类X形双波段四通道分束器,包括输入通道、双频耦和腔和输出通道3个部分,该器件能够在双波段四通道实现分束。通过时域有限差分法 (finite-difference time-domain,FDTD) 分析光波在该结构的传输特性,结果表明该结构在两个不同波段同时实现了分束。第1个波段中,对于波长为1.437 μm的入射光波,通过右侧双通道对称分束输出,总透射率为96.32%。第2个波段中,对于波长为1.642 μm的入射光波,通过左侧双通道对称分束输出,总透射率为82.36%。此外,该结构在两个波段中还能实现良好的滤波特性,滤波效率分别为99.5%和88.2%。

    Abstract:

    With the development of the research on integrated optical circuit devices,there is an increasing demand for multi-functional photonic crystal devices.Most of the currently reported photonic crystal devices are of single-band and single-function.To solve the problem of multi-band and multi-functional integration of optical beam splitters,this paper proposes a two-dimensional triangular-lattice photonic crystal beam splitter with an X-like configuration.This device functions as a dual-band four-channel splitter based on a multi-band,multi-functional integrated design approach.It is composed of three parts,namely the input channel,the dual-frequency coupling cavity and the output channel.Beam splitting can be achieved by this device in the dual-band four-channel.The transmission characteristics of light waves in this structure are analyzed by the finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) method.The results show that the structure achieves beam splitting simultaneously in two distinct bands.In the first band,the incident light wave with a wavelength of 1.437 μm is symmetrically split and output through the two right channels,with the total transmittance of 96.32%.In the second band,the incident light wave with a wavelength of 1.642 μm is symmetrically split and output through the two left channels,with the total transmittance of 82.36%.Moreover,the structure achieves excellent filtering characteristics in both bands,with filtering efficiencies of 99.5% and 88.2%,respectively.
