    摘要:

    本文提出并实现了一种新颖的基于光纤环镜的保偏光纤对轴方法。该方法把两段待熔接的保偏光纤接入3dB耦合器,将它们的端面对接,构成含两段保偏光纤的环镜。对环镜的透过光谱进行数据处理和分析,计算出对轴角度,从而实现保偏光纤的对轴。本文推导了含有两段保偏光纤的光纤环镜的透过率函数,分析得到了根据透过率光谱反演对轴角度的方法,并进行了数值仿真和实验研究。该方法直接根据偏振轴的夹角来定轴,适用于所有类型的保偏光纤,具有实际应用价值。

    Abstract:

    In this paper, an novel polarization maintaining fiber(PMF) alignment method based on fiber loop mirror(FLM)has been proposed and developed. The two PMFs to be spliced were fused to the two arms of a 3dB coupler and the other end faces of them were connected to build a FLM.The transmittance function of the FLM has been derived and the method to calculated the angle between the polarization axes of the two PMFs has been deduced. Finally, by analyzing the output spectrum of the FLM, the angle between the two PMFs can be calculated out and the two PMFs can be polarization aligned at any angle. The method has been analyzed in detail and verified by numerical simulation and experimental research. This method is applicable to all types of PMFs with high accuracy.
