Abstract:A series of molybdate phosphors doped with Zn2+,Mg2+,Ba2+ and activated by Eu3+ were prepared by the high temper ature solid-state method.The phosphors′ phase structure and luminescence pr operties are analyzed by testing their emission spectra,excitation spectra,X-ra y diffraction (XRD) and so on.The experimental results show that the phosphors c an be excited by n ear-UV (395nm) and blue (465nm) light and emit red light at 616nm (5D0→7F2 transition of Eu3+).The 395nm and 465nm excitation wavelengths are suitable for LED manufacturing.The luminous intensities of the red phosphors Ca0.88-xRxMoO4:0.08Eu3+ doped with Zn2+,Mg 2+,Ba2+ are improved,and the optimal doping comcentrations are 15% ,10% and 5%,respectively.The order of the three red phosphors′ luminous intensi ties is Ca0.73 Zn0.15 MoO4:0.08Eu3+> Ca0.78 Mg0.10 Mo O4:0.08Eu3+> Ca0.83Ba0.05 MoO4: 0.08Eu3+ with their optimal concentrations.The chromaticity coordinates of the phosphors are up to the national standard,so those red-emitting materials s how good potential of the red commercialization phosphors.
