Aiming at the charactoristics of distributed satellites system that th e information exchanging and wavelength conversion are frequent and subsequently the injury of signal is seri ous,a regenerative wavelength conversion scheme on satellite based on HNLF and nonlinearity of semiconductor o ptical amplifier (SOA) is put forward.Making use of the self-phase modulation (SPM) in high nonlinear fiber (HNLF) to broaden the spect rum of initial signals,a pre-conversion signal is obtained as the pump laser for wavelength up or down c onversion respectively through a red-shifted filter or a blue-shifted filter.Finally,the wavelength cov ersion is realized based on the four-wave mixing (FWM) in SOA.The principle of the schem e is deduced theoretically,and the relationship between conversion performance and structural parameters is analyze d.The simulation results show that the scheme can improve the quality of signals to some extent when completin g a wavelength conversion,Q factor improvement can be 3dB at most,and at the same time the conversion ef ficiency can reach 20dB.
