An objective reduced-reference image quality evaluation metric based on contourlet transform (RR-CTBM) is proposed.The metric measures the quality of distortion image by computing the texture similarity between the features which are extracted from reference and distorted images,respectively.Experiments demostrate that the novel objective metric achieves consistent image quality evaluation results with that gained by subjective evaluation.
