Abstract:The experiment on dispersion compensation of 10 Gb/s pulses using photonic crystal fiber(PCF) within 20 nm bandwidth is reported.In experiment,26 m PCF is used to compensate the dispersion of 2.163 km G.652 fiber.Experiment results show that the broadened pulses recover initial shapes after propagating through the PCF,so the effect of dispersion compensation is favorable.PCF will play an important role in optical fiber communication,especially on dispersion compensation.
