Abstract:An experimental study on the multiwavelength erbium-doped fiber laser is presented.Simultaneous 16 wavelengths operation at room temperature and the length of 4.1 m of birefracting fiber was achieved using an all fiber phase modulator in the erbium-doped fiber ring laser.The fiber laser with the wavelength spacing of 0.8 nm is anchored on the ITU frequency grid.The laser linewidth is less than 0.1 nm with the flat power spectrum.The power fluctuation less than 5 dB spectral width of 12 nm.And the wavelength acing can be adjusted by changing the length of birefracting fiber.
