    摘要:

    设计了一种基于单模光纤双折射效应的光纤超声波传感器;在分析光纤双折射效应原理的基础上提出了螺旋型和平行型绕制传感器的方法。利用该传感器对不同厚度金属材料中的超声波进行了测量。实验结果表明,该传感器具有较宽的频响(大于10MHz)和较高的响应灵敏度。实验还发现,螺旋型探头对点源激发的超声脉冲的测量结果十分理想;而平行结构的探头更适合于线源激发的超声脉冲的测量。

    Abstract:

    A kind of optical fiber sensor based on the birefringence effect of single-mode optical fiber has been designed to measured supersonic waves,and two types of sensors included spiral type and plane type has been developed.Using these sensors,we have investigated the ultrasonic waves in metal plates with different thickness.It has been indicated that this kind of fiber sensor has a wide frequency response (more than 10 MHz) and a high sensitivity.Therefore it is very useful for detecting and measuring laser produced supersonic waves.The experiments also show that the spiral and plane type sensors were more suitable to the laser supersonic waves induced by point and line sources,respectively.
