Abstract:A two-dimension encoder/decode optical code-division multiple access(OCDMA) system with fiber Bragg grating(FBG) arrays was developd. The system which has two send users and one receive user and is encoded in wavelength and time is experimentally studied by different bit rate from 20 Mb/s to 1.4 Gb/s RZ pseudo random sequence, and after 25 km optical fiber transmission is also experimentally. The experimental results and theoretic analyses both show that when the system date rate is beyond the theoretic limit, the impact to the system performance is very trivial while there is few users. So the system date rate can be improved when the user number is few.
