Abstract:Starting from a simplified mechanical model for the smectic C phase of ferroelectric liquid crystal displays(FLCD),we have developed a visual FLCD system using Pspice simulator.The simulated applications are in driving threshold,state overturn,light transmission rate,the switching and memory behavior of the FLCD for different drive voltage (including amplitude,pulse wide and duty cycle) and sampling parameters.Practices strongly prove that this new system can be used to achieve.It shows almost perfect memory characteristics,which provides a much easier management and a help to realize computer aided optoelectronic integration design tools.
