This paper reviews S band fiber optic amplifiers including thulium doped fiber amplifiers(TDFA),gain shifted thulium doped fiber amplifiers(GS TDFA) and fiber Raman amplifiers(FRA).The principle,configuration,character and research process of them are been introduced.
