Based on the models of the components in optical communication systems,this paper developed an application simulation software.An experiment platform for system performance evaluation and research is built.The simulation program can also display signal waveforms,generate eye diagrams and give the bit error rate.Some obtained results showed close agreement between the simulation and actual performance.
