Abstract:A method of 3D object recognition is presented.Sinusoid fringes are projected to the surface of objects.The fringes are deformed due to the height of the objects.The phase of the fundamental frequency component of the deformed fringes is used to design a digital phase only filter,Phase only correlation is performed between the fundamental frequency components of the different deformed fringes in frequency domain to discriminate different objects.The characteristic of the method is that intensity images with deformed fringes contain the height distribution information of the objects.This method is shift invariant.The efficiency of the method is verified by the experiment.
