This paper has analysed the optical properties of scanning mirror beam theoretically and experimentally, in terms of intensity distribution and cross section of hardened zone done on 0.45% carbon steel. Wide band laser hardening and cladding in the power of 2 5kw of laser are desirable in the industry of our country.
